Danny and Jay Monterose (Vintique) spent years customizing this '32 Ford 5-window Coupe. Chopped and all steel. Like most of Danny's car projects, this one is still unfinished business.

Jay snapped this photo circa 1986 of Danny with his 1932 Ford chopped all steel 5-window Coupe, with full-house Merc flathead, Jaguar independent rear suspension, and X-braced frame.

I snapped this photo of Jay in May 2003, surrounded by a few of Danny's '32 Coupe parts (including steel '32 grill not pictured previously) and a few gig posters.

Danny's car passion was primarily 1934 Fords, but this '56 Crown Vic was too good to pass up. When Danny bought it, the car was completely original. But he couldn't leave it that way for long!

The interior and the blue paint on the roof are all original. The rest is Danny's unfinished custom body work.

The car runs, but was on this trailer days before its trip to Carlisle, PA (to be sold).

This shell of a '49 Mercury did not belong to Danny, but Danny and his brother Brent (one of the best body/paint guys ever!) were working on this car for a friend at the time of Danny's death.

Another of Danny's projects was this rare '34 Ford panel truck. Basically a frame-off restoration was being done. A Chevy 327 powerplant was wrapped up in the engine crate ready to bolt in to make this rod run! A Hemi engine also sat in the garage. Maybe Danny hadn't decided what powerplant to install??

Danny believed that every old farm house needed an old "yard car" to complement the landscaping. Danny said this car was too far gone to fix, so it became his lawn ornament.

This car has appeared on the traycard design of the Untouchable CD, and was used in the photo for the web site promotion card (that made their debut at the '98 Tribute Show).

I know this is the "streetrod" section, but why not include the famous garage where Danny worked on all of his cars?!

The front side show four bays and an upper-level, where antiques and other items were stored.

The back of the garage (not shown) contained equal square footage made up of a large bay (capable of holding four more cars easily) and a paint bay - for the finishing touch!

Here is a close-up photo of the left-most door. Stickers, hand cleaner mounted to the door frame, and a beer-bottle outdoor thermometer. What more does a body shop need? (Well...the calendars and cut-outs are in the garage...)

Danny used this side-door as his phone book, and to hang his Elvira calendars on!. The blue markings you see all over the door are names and phone numbers (purposely blurred for this photo).
